What Dottie is
Dottie runs AI voice agents that listen, speak, and use tools (calendar, CRM, handover). Responses are generated by models and can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated if knowledge is missing.
Limits and risks
AI may hallucinate facts, prices, or availability. Always configure knowledge base content and handover rules for complaints, emergencies, and high-value cases.
Callers should know they are speaking with AI. Do not market the agent as a human receptionist.
Recordings and transcripts are personal data — set retention, restrict access, and honour deletion/export requests.
What operators should know
Who can hear listen-back recordings and quality scores in your organisation.
How to escalate to a human (handover queue) and when staff must intervene.
That integrations (webhooks, HubSpot, n8n) send caller data outside Dottie under your responsibility as controller.
Suggested staff checklist
Listen to sample calls and review quality scorecards monthly.
Update FAQs and business hours when they change.
Test the AI disclosure and recording notice on a real call after go-live.
